Click on the (BR139989.EXE) file and select "RUN" then "RUN" again. 2. Choose "Continue" in the next window to create a bootable floppy. 3. Close all applications, and re-boot from the floppy image just created. 4. The Samsung Sflash utility will start automatically. 5. The utility will only update the models listed above in this release. 6. The application will report "Updated Successfully". 7. Once completed you will be left at an "A:\>". 8. Remove the floppy diskette and power off your system. 9. Restart your system. Alternative Flash process (no floppy available) (PLEASE MAKE SURE A/C POWER IS BEING USED WHILE UPDATING YOUR HARD DRIVE) 1. The files contained in (R139989.EXE) should be extracted to bootable media. (ie. Floppy, CD, Zip drive, USB Flash Memory). The default extraction directory is C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R139989.EXE. 2. Once the files are extracted, copy the contents of C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R139989.EXE\FILES directory to bootable source. Boot to that source. 3. The Samsung Sflash utility will start automatically. 4. The utility will only update the models listed above in this release. 5. The application will report "Updated Successfully". 6. Once completed you will be left at a DOS prompt. 7. Remove the bootable media and power off your system. 8. Restart your system. |
