ATI Hyper Memory PCI-Express X16 (DVI/VGA/TV out) Radeon X300 SE, Windows XP, Multi Language, Dimension 5100, 9100, v.113-A62801-106, A02 Descritpion: * ATI Radeon X300 SE firmware update for customers who are experiencing a blank screen issue with the Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW 20.1-inch Wide Aspect Flat Panel LCD. (Customers with other monitors should not apply this update.) * A brief description of the firmware update procedure: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1) Turn your system off before changing the monitor cable. 2) The 2005FPW blank screen issue only occurs if you use the DVI cable (white connector). Connect the VGA cable (blue connector) to your system and disconnect the DVI cable (white connector). 3) Turn your system on. Complete the setup process if this is your first time to turn the system on. 4) Download R103296.exe to your hard drive. 5) Double-click on this utility (R103296) to unzip the files. 6) When all files have been successfully unzipped, click the OK button to start the update. 7) The ATIWinflash utility appears and asks you to close all other applications before continuing. 8) Click the CONTINUE button when you're ready. 9) In the next few minutes, the ATIWinflash program will update your firmware. 10) During this time, your keyboard and mouse will not respond until the process is complete. 11) When your VBIOS has been successfully programmed, click the OK button to restart your system. |
